Bulgarian accessories brand BY FAR, has quickly gained a cult following for its vintage-inspired designs. Founded in 2016 by twin sisters Valentina Bezuhanova and Sabina Gyosheva, and their best friend Denitsa Bumbarova, BY FAR is an evolution of the Bulgarian heritage of shoe craftsmanship; the country has a swathe of artisanal makers run by the same of families for decades. While the founders have a background in construction and renewable energy, they took inspiration from their three sons to form the brand name, carrying that sense of generational responsibility into their manufacturing practices. Each piece is produced in a local family-owned factory that champions safe, ethical, and favourable working conditions, and the label aims to source 100% of its leather from tanneries with environmental, traceability and compliance certifications. BY FAR’s sleek aesthetic and nostalgic designs inspired by the late 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s, are designed to complement the wardrobe and the conscience.
